i read this book and she became my idol,i really admire her for not being affraid of being herself, and not giving in when people made fun of her.i also liked the part about when she goy a nose ring and had to walk sideways around her father or else her father would yell at her, cause im getting ready to get a nose ring.

Overall, after I read this book, I would like to say that its so great and funny. This true story of Gillian Anderson gives a lot of perception about herself by telling a story from beginning till now. It is a great story because its told us about her feeling after becomes a superstar and also her past life. The writer also not only based the story from the actress point of view and himself, but also from the other people. He also made this book so funny and not so boring too.
A good feel for the person while describing her life.

This book provides a good basic biography of Gillian Anderson ("Scully" of the X-Files). While Shapiro is an outsider to Anderson's life, he writes of her personal life and events in a favorable manner without becoming intrusive. The writing itself is smooth and quick going, but this book will primarily be of interest to those interested in Gillian Anderson and the X-Files.
