Excellent cozy

It begins with a costumed Beggars Night and the murder of a non-resident actor. Meanwhile there are lots of family issues to contend with and all sorts of snags. But don't forget the humor and the recipes!
If you are new to the series, “Mac” Almeida had a high-powered employment history but now owns a bicycle rent/repair shop, a father who is a minister, a mother who is an astrologer, has a verbose African Grey parrot, a baker for a husband, and is essential to the Cozy Capers Book Group who have been known to investigate a murder or five. Enough background is included that I think it works as a stand-alone, but I really enjoy this series!
