The Valais Blacknose is widely known as the 'cutest sheep in the world' mainly because of it's commical look and cartoon-like appearence in general. Initially from the Valais canton of Switzerland where it was bred for meat and wool, as well as the ability to cope with harsh surrounding, the Valais Blacknose has taken Europe and indeed the world by storm. Most folks initial reaction on seeing this sheep for the first time is that they look as if they have come from a cartoonist sketch-pad! What is more - their general character mimics their appearance in that they are friendly, fun animals to be around.
