The text discusses the psychological, sociological, and ethical aspects which influence interaction. The new edition discusses interaction with the child and adolescent, wellness and lifestyle issues, patient's rights, as well as issues in hospice settings and home care.
This book is very insightful, to the point, a very easy read. I am a very busy person so being able to just sit down and read this book was a delightful experience!

Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 21 years ago
This is a good, balanced textbook for anyone needing a detailed source anayzing the doctor or nurse and patient interaction. Strengths: Balanced, objective, good references, non-critical. Weaknesses: Long, sometimes states the obvious, choppy theoretical discussions.
