All of the information necessary to prepare for a computer exercise is contained in the book. No exercise is a prerequisite for another. The exercises seek to present challenges and questions instead of leading students through an error-free educational experience. Although the exercises eventually evaluate student answers, they sometimes hold back immediate feedback in favor of development of a line of questions. Each exercise has specific goals.

Helpful in understanding civil procedure.

My civil procedure course was taught by one of the authors so he strongly suggested that we use this as a supplement. Using it along with the CALI exercises was helpful in gaining a practical understanding of such topics like discovery, summary judgment, and judgment as a matter of law. I don't recommend purchasing this unless you are specifically going to do the authored CALI exercises, as the book is tailored to them.
