The pictures of the paintings are worth it alone.

Buy it for the picture. Stay for the writings. Learn about the writers. This will make a great coffee table book as it is small but powerful. The subtitle says it all – Women writing about gardens. You will recognize many of the writers. Others, such as Anne Hassar, have only published here. And the back of the book is a short biography of each writer.
